I grew up as a preacher's kid and very early on decided that I was going to make my own way in life. My walk took me about as far as one can get from God and godly living.
By His wondrous grace, I was able to return to His fold just like Prodigal Son whom Jesus teaches about in Luke 15. I came back with a passion and a Godly call on my life to work with youth as they began their own faith walks.
Prior to YFC, I was a youth pastor in NE Calgary. I led both junior- and senior-high groups with an emphasis in mentoring and discipling young leaders. One of the main goals for the group was reach out into the local community and build bridges with non-churched youth.
This made my position at Youth For Christ a natural fit. Working directly with youth on their own ground, I have established a ministry to the youth in our public school system through breakfast clubs, character-based and service-oriented programs. I love mentoring students and seeking God's vision for how to impact the youth of Victoria.
